  8.        4.  _D_P_S_/_X__A_p_p_l_i_c_a_t_i_o_n__E_x_a_m_p_l_e_s

  10.        The Display PostScript/X previewer, _s_h_o_w_p_s, is a DPS/X
  11.        application that allows you to view PostScript documents
  12.        on-line before (or instead of) sending them to a printer.
  13.        Because it is also an X and Motif application, its behavior
  14.        is much the same as other X and Motif applications,
  15.        including launching, moving and resizing, specifying
  16.        resources for, etc.  _s_h_o_w_p_s replaces _x_p_s_v_i_e_w, found in
  17.        previous IRIX releases.  For more information on _s_h_o_w_p_s, see
  18.        the man page or invoke _s_h_o_w_p_s (in /_u_s_r/_b_i_n/_X_1_1) with the
  19.        ----hhhheeeellllpppp option.

  21.        The application _s_h_o_w_p_s can also be launched from the
  22.        Toolchest.  Like many DPS/X applications, it runs in the X
  23.        server's default visual.  It is mentioned here simply
  24.        because it is included in the default DPS/X installation.
  25.        There are other DPS/X applications available as separate
  26.        products, such as FrameMaker and Adobe Illustrator.
